After a well deserved weekend, we all felt fresh like daisies this Monday morning. We spent the weekend travelling to Bornholm to begin our business trip, where we will now complete sprint 2. We started our day out with a quick meeting, where we went through our expectations about this sprint. A quick summary would be: finish detailing all of the functional elements and end up with a high fidelity prototype of the product.
Last week we decided to continue with the racking mechanism, which has been one of today’s tasks. In the beginning of this three week period we started our first batch of apple wine. Today we performed the first racking. The purpose of the racking is to subtract the dead yeast cells leaving a more clear wine and minimizing the risk of getting any unwanted residual flavor. We did some testing with our filter, pump and whisk, and all in all the test went fine. The filter is a bit too small as it clogged up too quickly, and some further prototyping on this needs to be done in the following days.

One of the next tasks we need to perform is testing the placement of the different components inside the case. Today a second version of a case-prototype was built. We made a box in laser-cut wood, which we can use to test both how the components can be placed according to each other but also how big the case actually needs to be. Moreover we tested it with the 3D printed carboy base.

To create the best possible UI, we want to provide the user with a graph of the progress in terms of the amount of bubbles produced. We do therefore need to store a large amount of data, which has caused us some problems. We have tried different ways to solve this problem, ..... SKRIV MERE KONKRET
Another prototype of today was a new whisk design - and it seems as if it works! We found a shape both allowing the whisk to pass under the spout but also reaching down into the groove stirring the sunken sediment.

To get some feedback on our progress and evaluate if our concept is clear and understandable, we visited another group also participating in the course and pitched our idea. We received feedback on our project and our prototypes, but also learned a tip or two by watching their progress and listening to their pitch.
